Upon arrival, you will have an intake interview to help your therapist plan your treatment. The nursing staff may take your vitals or administer a drug test to determine your treatment needs. If you need detox, you will begin right away. The intake coordinator will also inventory the items you brought with you to ensure they are compliant with our guidelines. After intake procedures, you can settle in your room.
We recommend you bring clothes, prescription medications, and anything you might want to use in your free time; we recommend books. We provide weekly laundry service, so you don’t have to bring enough clothes for your whole stay.

The length of your stay will be determined according to your individual needs. The treatment plan will reflect the extent of your substance abuse issues, your goals, and medical recommendations from your therapist. Effective treatment generally requires a minimum stay of 45 days. However, most residents stay at Austin Pines from 60 to 90 days.
